Chapter 580 : Don’t Slander Other People
“Little Girl, as your elder, let me give you a piece of advice. You should start taking responsibility for your words. Lying about or slandering them would only reflect on who you are rather than who they are. Do you understand?”
The President shot her a glare and turned the other way.
Yao Tang gazed at him in surprise before rubbing her nose. With a shake of her head, she headed toward her classroom.
At least she had finally been able to evade him!
The President of the Sports Association quickly went to Zhang Dong’s classroom, much to his surprise. “You know the girl, right?” he asked him. “Lead me to her!”
It was the end of the first period so Zhang Dong relented. He quickly led him to Class 20, where he pointed at Yao Tang. “That’s her,” he whispered.
His jaw dropped.
Suddenly, he felt all his words run in the back of his mind, and his hands stiffened. Not only did she catch him climbing over the wall, but he even scolded her for slandering herself!
His entire mind went black.
“That’s the girl in the video?” He glanced at the student stiffly.
Zhang Dong didn’t know why there was a sudden change in his voice. He simply nodded. “Yes, Sir,” he stated. “That’s her.”
The President resisted the urge to groan.
How could he have embarrassed himself?
However, just as he was about to sneak away, Zhang Dong had already taken a step inside. “Yao Tang,” he called. “Do you mind coming out for a moment?”
Everyone soon turned to the back door.
Yao Tang soon mirrored their movements.
The President was speechless.
How was he supposed to know that the girl he had been scolding was the same girl he had praised just a couple of minutes before?
It was like pointing a gun at his head!
She even caught him sneaking into the school!
This was humiliating!
What was he going to do now?
Yao Tang slowly turned around.
When she saw the President of the Sports Association standing outside the door, her eyebrows shot up. She didn’t expect him to come over so quickly.
However, when she saw Zhang Dong standing next to the middle-aged man, she finally understood.
He was the one who had led him to her.
Yao Tang slowly walked out of the classroom as if she had met him today. “Good day,” she said formally, stretching out her hand. “It’s nice to meet you.”
The President shook her hand.
“I’ve heard about you from a lot of people. It’s an honor to finally meet you.”
Zhang Dong smiled at the side.
Why didn’t it seem like this was their first time meeting?
“I’m sure that you already know my purpose for this visit. I wanted to see if you were interested in joining the Sports Association.”
The President could feel his heart begin to stir.
In their previous meeting, Yao Tang had already rejected his offer, stating that she didn’t need a free pass for her university position.
She even tried to tarnish her own reputation to turn him away.
Just the thought of this was enough to make his headache. It seemed that she really didn’t want to enter his association. That’s why she was desperate enough to lie about it.
As expected, she slowly shook her head.
“I’m sorry. It’s so close to my college entrance examinations that I have to focus on my studies.”
“Her results are really good. She spends most of her time studying, so it’s normal for her to want to put that first,” Zhang Dong added.
Hearing this, the man wasn’t surprised.
But everyone in the classroom couldn’t help but fall silent.
If Yao Tang really spent all her time studying, they’d all be dead by now!
All she did was play with her phone! However, what made them even more surprised was that even when she looked like she was slacking off, her grades were still the best out of everyone in the class.
She was just that smart.
Lin Xin shook her head.
