Chapter 579 : A Crisis
The International Tennis Tournament was about to begin, that’s why he was in such a rush.
Their Sports Association hadn’t scored a gold model for a long time, and they had sent dozens of their great players. That’s why the recruitment of the young prodigy was critical.
If he couldn’t find that young girl as soon as possible, he wouldn’t know what to do! It would be a crisis for the Sports Association!
In the end, the President had no other choice but to climb over the wall.
How was he supposed to know that he’d be caught?
If this student knew the girl he was referring to, perhaps he’d feel better. That way, everything would go along with her plan.
As she came face to face with the President, Yao Tang took a deep breath.
“There are still a few weeks before the college entrance exam. She still has plenty of things to study. As such, she doesn’t have to join any competitions. Right now, studying is her first priority.”
“She studies to get into a good university, right? If she enters our association and plays for the International Tennis League, the association could grant her a spot in a prestigious university.”
“It’s not some ordinary university either,” he added proudly.
“Even if she doesn’t score and make it into the International Tennis League, it would still be included in her extracurriculars. It would still be an added plus for her.”
A guaranteed position at a prestigious university.
The President of the Sports Association seemed to be very sincere with his words.
However, Yao Tang didn’t really need it.
The only reason she had come to No. 1 High School was to fulfill her agreement. Joining the Sports Association wasn’t a part of this.
Just as the President smiled, thinking that he had finally convinced her, the young girl looked up. “There’s really no need. Sorry.”
His jaw dropped.
“How can you make these decisions for others? Do you really know what she’s thinking? Maybe she needs this more than you think she does!”
Yao Tang turned around and was about to walk to the teacher’s building.
The President followed her. “Even if she really doesn’t need it, it’s her decision to make. How can you decide this important matter for her?”
She suppressed the urge to roll her eyes. “Then go find her yourself. I’ll head back to class.”
The President didn’t know that the girl in front of him was the girl she was trying so hard to find.
And she had no intention of telling him.
It’s good that she hadn’t been exposed yet.
That meant she could still continue to hide.
“Wait, if you bring her here, I’ll do something for you,” he called out. “Whatever you need, as long as I can do it, I’ll do it. What do you think?”
“There’s really no need.”
She didn’t even seem fazed by the offer. She just kept moving.
But the President was still very persistent.
Finally having enough, Yao Tang turned to the President. “She was just really lucky that day. Her skills weren’t even that good, to begin with,” she stated. “The only reason her skills look that great was that someone had edited it. You don’t have to search high and low for her.”
The President’s face suddenly darkened, and she nodded in satisfaction. Without bothering to wait for his reply, she turned around.
He should give up by now, right?
Yao Tang stepped toward her classroom.
A relaxed smile was evident in her lips.
What she didn’t know was that the anger on the President’s face wasn’t directed at the girl, but at her! He scowled.
“You shouldn’t be saying that about her! Look, if you’re angry at her, that’s your problem! You don’t have to lie about her skills.”
The President scowled.
How could that student defame her classmate?
He knew the controversy behind that video.
It was why he had an expert to verify it. It was evident that the video was neither edited nor cut. However, they also couldn’t explain why the video would black out whenever it revealed her face.
He believed that the girl’s tennis skills were amazing.
If he had encountered a match, he was afraid that he wouldn’t have handled that situation as well as hers. It really was an amazing feat.
The video couldn’t have been edited.
This girl was probably just jealous!
That’s why she decided to slander her.
But wasn’t that too much?
