Chapter 431: My Son, Were You Kicked Off the Bed Again?
“Almost, almost...”
“Are you out of your mind in this early morning? It’s like you were drugged.”
Yue Tingfeng was in a bitter deadlock. He was not drugged but rather, his mother had tricked him into drinking some kidney-nourishing aphrodisiac.
The long-drawn and exciting action came to an end. Yan Qingsi was tired and sleepy. Before she resumed her sleep, she lambasted, “Don’t you dare show me your face when I wake up tomorrow. Scram as far as possible!”
Yue Tingfeng said immediately, “Be good. Go to sleep, go to sleep!”
...
When dawn came, Yan Qingsi opened her eyes and saw Yue Tingfeng’s magnified face before her. She recalled what happened earlier that night and huffed before kicking him away.
Her movements were slight but they sent waves of aching soreness into her waist.
Yue Tingfeng was still asleep. Yan Qingsi was so exasperated that she pinched Yue Tingfeng’s face and finally got him wake up. With a sour face, she said, “Get out.”
The very sleepy Yue Tingfeng harrumphed. “This is my home. You want me to get out?”
Yan Qingsi then humphed coldly, “Then that’s fine, I’ll leave.”
After she said that, she flipped the covers open and was about to get down. Yue Tingfeng was so startled that he stopped her. “No, don’t go... I won’t argue with you. I’ll leave! I’m used to it anyway.”
Yue Tingfeng hoisted her back and covered her with the blanket.
“Sleep well. I owe you everything, don’t I. I won’t bicker with you about this. But the next time I meet my mother-in-law, you’ll see how I complain about you.”
Yan Qingsi yawned. “Don’t forget to buy the morning-after pill for me.”
Yue Tingfeng put on his clothes in agitation and went out. He did not expect that the unsteady Mrs. Yue would tumble into him as soon as he opened the door.
His eyes were opened wide. “You...”
Mrs. Yue covered his mouth immediately and dragged him out.
Upon closing the door, Mrs. Yue had a condescending expression. “My son, were you kicked off the bed again? Sigh... When will you work harder? I’m getting anxious for you.”
Yue Tingfeng gnashed his teeth. “You still have the decency to say that? Yesterday... The soup you gave me, what the hell was that? It took effect in the middle of the night and I felt so hot.”
The nervous Mrs. Yue asked, “Did you succeed?”
Yue Tingfeng turned his head. “Look at this ear. It’s as swollen as a pig.”
Mrs. Yue looked the mark left behind on his reddish and swollen ear as well as the scratch mark on his neck. She let out e dry laugh. “It’s okay, it’s okay. Your skin is thick enough anyways.”
Yue Tingfeng ignored her last few words and asked softly, “Ma... Is the medicine really able to enhance my chances?”
Mrs. Yue nodded repeatedly. “Of course! I specifically went to look for a famous traditional Chinese medicine practitioner and bought it at a high price.”
He frowned and looked at the room door. “But... Qingsi wants to take the morning-after pill.”
Mrs. Yue grabbed Yue Tingfeng and rushed him into her room. She closed the door and poked Yue Tingfeng. “You’re such a silly boy...”
She opened her drawer, retrieved a small bottle, and tipped out one pill. “Take it.”
Curious, Yue Tingfeng asked, “What’s this?”
Mrs. Yue answered. “A calcium supplement 1. Eating this one dose is equivalent to eating five doses.”
The corner of Yue Tingfeng’s lips became distorted. “Ma... Is this... good?”
Mrs. Yue rolled her eyes. “Do you want it or not? If not, then so be it... You’re the kind of the person who’s so afraid of the tiniest little thing. Serves you right that you never managed to get someone. You don’t look like my son at all. I’ve seen people who are much braver than you.”
Yue Tingfeng evaded the hand that Mrs. Yue stretched out. “Ma, whether or not you have a daughter-in-law next time depends on you. You cannot let this slip out from your mouth.”
