Chapter 4229:Lin Ya, You are a Monster (9)
“Of course. I’m talking to an original, not a clone,” Huo Mian said sarcastically.
“Miss Mian...”
Messiah moved over, trying to stop Huo Mian from angering Lin Ya.
But Lin Ya stopped her. “Messiah, get out. I need to talk to her privately.”
“Yes, Master.”
After Messiah was gone, Lin Ya didn’t continue making dumplings. She stood up.
“Tell me, Lin Ya, what on earth do you want? You’ve been alive all these years... as the queen at this place but didn’t try to find my dad or me... Now you suddenly remember us. What are you up to? What’s your purpose?”
“Mian, we won’t talk about this today. I’ll ask you a question and you must answer me honestly.”
Huo Mian was silent...
“Mian, how was your life in the past years?”
“Very good. I’ve been very happy.”
“Indeed? How did you feel when someone close to you died?”
“What do you mean?”
Sensing the hidden meaning in Lin Ya’s words, Huo Mian widened her eyes and demanded.
“Let me make it simple for you. In the big explosion at the gas station, lots of people died, including your friend named Huo Siqian. Am I correct?”
Lin Ya glanced at Huo Mian expressionlessly.
Huo Mian didn’t speak.
“As far as I know, this child has always been good to you. He detonated a bomb and died for you. Do you feel sorrow for him?”
Hearing the mention of Huo Siqian, Huo Mian indeed felt grieved.
Even if he was a bad guy who had done lots of evil things, he had never harmed her.
He had even tricked Leila by disguising himself as Jack and saved her life at the last moment.
She suddenly remembered the quiet night when they hid in the small village; Huo Siqian had played coy with her and bickered with Su Yu...
All these things seemed to have happened just yesterday, but she knew he was dead; he was so close to the bomb that he was blasted apart and there was no way that he could have lived.
She didn’t know why Lin Ya mentioned Huo Siqian, but she was truly grieved for his death.
“No words? You’re grieved, right?” Lin Ya glanced at Huo Mian who remained silent.
“Yeah. I’m grieved. So what? What’s your point?”
Huo Mian raised her hand and wiped off the tears threatening to fall down and then looked at Lin Ya.
“Mian, do you want him to come back to life?”
“Come back to life? Are you crazy? He’s dead. How can he come back to life? Do you really think you’re a god or something?”
Huo Mian’s voice was frantic, thinking Lin Ya was talking about the impossible.
Lin Ya only smiled at Huo Mian’s loss of composure...
She looked back and waved her hand; an image appeared on the screen.
In the image was a man lying in a crystal coffin. As the camera zoomed in, the man’s face drew closer until they could see it clearly.
“No, it’s impossible. It’s absolutely impossible. He was blown into pieces.”
Huo Mian saw that the face in the crystal coffin resembled Huo Siqian’s and found it impossible to accept.
He didn’t have a complete body; how could he be lying in the coffin intact?
Then a thought dawned on her as she remembered an important clue.
She looked at Lin Ya in terror. “Another...clone?”
