Men Have Sorrow and Joy; They Part or Meet Again 7
“Embarrassing.”
Yes, that was what Su Yu commented.
When Han Yueyao saw this, she immediately laughed.
She responded, “Even if I’m making a fool of myself, I am under Imperial Star Entertainment now. That means I’m making a fool out of President Su. Does that mean you’re mocking yourself, President Su?”
Su Yu: “...”
“The show’s going live soon and you still have the energy to bicker with me. You sure are so chill.”
Han Yueyao was the chillest woman Su Yu had ever met. Even at such a pivotal time in her career, she had the energy to post something on her Moments. Maybe she wasn’t nervous enough?
“My mom said that a chill person can live a long life. My grandmother on my father’s side lived till she was 91. My grandmother on my mom’s side is 86 this year and she’s well and active. I think I can live till at least 89.”
“Sure longevity girl. If you get disqualified in the first round today, then don’t come back... I’ll buy you a ticket to go home so you can be a dance teacher in your village.”
Han Yueyao: “Su Yu, you sure are mean.”
It was Han Yueyao’s first appearance on a live television show. It was also a monumental moment for Imperial Star Entertainment.
Su Yu had strongly recommended Han Yueyao, so if she really was disqualified in the first round, that would be a big slap on Su Yu’s face.
Due to his recommendation, many people were waiting for the live, though many people were anticipating watching this as some sort of joke.
After Huo Mian was fired, she did not return to South Side even once.
Chen Jie had tidied her stuff out her office, and together with Ni Yang, they went to deliver it to her.
It was a weekend and Qin Chu first drove Huo Mian and the children to Sky Blessing Court. Then he went to a high-end restaurant to meet with his clients.
Huo Mian had been busy earlier and did not make the time to go back to her parent’s home.
She had brought the twins along this time so her mother was very joyous.
“Grandma, I miss you,” Little Bean said in her usual fawner self. Then, she ran over and gave her grandma a big hug.
“Little Bean, Pudding, I’ve missed you so much. How come you haven’t visited me more often?”
“Mommy’s too busy... Now she’s been fired, so she isn’t some sort of director anymore. We’ll have much more time to visit you now.”
“Fired?”
Yang Meirong did not know about this even though Bella and Zhixin knew. They, however, did not tell her.
“Mian, what happened?”
“Ah, it’s fine Mom. I’m going to give birth soon. Chu and my mother-in-law told me to go on maternity leave anyways... so I won’t be going to the hospital for a while.”
“That’s good. I agree. You should have done that a long time ago.” Yang Meirong felt relieved after hearing her daughter’s explanation.
“Huh? Mom, where’s Zhixin?”
Huo Mian thought that Zhixin would be resting at home on a weekend.
“Oh, he and Bella went to the Civil Administration Bureau.”
“Civil Administration Bureau?” Huo Mian said in shock.
“Yeah. When Zhixin woke up this morning, he said the weather was nice so he wanted to get married to Bella.”
Huo Mian: “...”
“Getting married is dependent on the weather? He sure does whatever he likes...”
Although she knew that Zhixin and Bella would eventually get married, she never expected them to be so random. They didn’t even tell her that they were going to get registered.
However, this was something that Bella would do. She was a low-profile type of person, but she was a few years older than Zhixin so she might be thought of as a cougar.
Also, Zhixin was Qin Chu’s brother-in-law, so some people may be talking behind their backs, and they wanted to limit it.
The two had been through a lot and they weren’t young anymore. It was only natural that they got married.
“Mom, that’s great news. We should celebrate today. I’ll go out and buy some stuff so we have a feast this afternoon,” Huo Mian said joyously.
