Chapter 304  : My Uncle Is Amazing Too

Now that Qin Muye had calmed down and her exams were over, there was no need for her to study anymore. What awaited her was the carefree summer break where she could sit back and relax.

The thought of it made her chuckle instantly.

“Oh, right. Yuan Keqing took her exams this year as well, right? How did she do?” Now that her mind was calmed down, Qin Muye could think about trivialities like Yuan Keqing’s results.

“Yup.” Tan Mo nodded before telling her best friends of the incident where Wei Zhiqian sent someone to stop Yuan Keqing from reaching the exam venue, which caused her to miss a subject.

If there had been other people with them right now, Tan Mo would never have talked about it.

The only people she trusted outside her family and Wei Zhiqian were Qin Muye and Ming Yeqing. She rarely hid anything from them and would always tell them every important thing that had happened in her life.

“Oh? Then her results must be bad, right? Since she missed one whole subject!” Qin Muye exclaimed happily. Her mood got even better after hearing the tragedy that had happened to Tan Mo’s cousin.

“Well, I didn’t ask her about her result. But seeing how they tried to make me ask President Mu to let her in to Beijing University, it’s clear that even after taking the arts exam, she still doesn’t have good enough scores to make it. Or else they wouldn’t have resorted to that,” Tan Mo said.

“You didn’t agree to help her, right?” Qin Muye asked anxiously.

“Of course not.” Tan Mo shook her head. “My mom even said that if they ever come to bother us again, she’ll report her for trying to backdoor her way into Beijing University. She’ll probably suffer a lot since her score isn’t enough to warrant an acceptance letter.”

“Man! Your mom is amazing!” Qin Muye exclaimed, and her respect for Xu Mingzhen skyrocketed.

A few days had passed, and registration for the new university semester had begun. Qin Muye submitted her registration form on the first day for Beijing University.

As for Yuan Keqing, Yuan Zhengwen had already taken care of everything, and all she had to do was register for NCU.

Just as Tan Mo, Ming Yeqing, and Qin Mufeng had said, Qin Muye’s total score was more than enough to get into Beijing University. She got the acceptance letter without any trouble and was now officially a Beijing University student.

Tan Mo and Ming Yeqing accompanied Qin Muye to her freshman orientation.

Since the two had already studied at Beijing University for two years, they were starting their junior year when the semester began.

As students of Beijing University would say, Tan Mo and Ming Yeqing were considered adults in the university community. They showed Qin Muye around the campus, which was a lot of help compared to the time when they had to attend the orientation without anyone showing them around.

They pointed out to Qin Muye where she would study and live in the future, bringing her to the classrooms, dormitories, and canteens.

In the end, Qin Muye had decided to study law with an emphasis on economic law.

“What made you decide to study law, though?” Tan Mo asked as they toured around the campus. “I thought you would join me as a finance major.”

Tan Mo had put all of her focus on Qin Muye’s registration for Beijing University as it would mean the three best friends were able to study at the same school again.

She was so excited that she had completely forgotten to check which major Qin Muye had applied for.

Tan Mo and Ming Yeqing only learned about it after the orientation.

“I thought about it for quite some time and couldn’t come to a conclusion at first,” Qin Muye explained. “I mean, I’m not interested in aeronautic engineering like Yeqing,, and I don’t have to study finance like Mo Mo to support her brothers. I also have my brother to back me up. There’s no one better than him, so I don’t have to worry about my family’s future that much…”

Uncle is better than your brother… Tan Mo disagreed with Qin Muye but she kept that thought to herself.

She had always believed that Wei Zhiqian was better and smarter than Qin Mufeng, but since Qin Muye was her best friend, there was no way she could say that to her best friend’s face.

In order to not ruin their relationship, Tan Mo decided to say, “I think Uncle is as good as your brother.”

Qin Muye stopped and turned to look at Tan Mo speechlessly.

Why are you bringing Wei Zhiqian up now?

“Well, Wei Zhiqian is not a normal person,” Qin Muye said. “What I meant is that there are no normal people that are better than my brother.”

It was clear Qin Muye didn’t want to compare her brother to Wei Zhiqian as it would spark an argument between her and Tan Mo.

“Then, I kind of just ignored all the majors that needed me to study math. Other than foreign languages, I realized you don’t need to learn math to study law,” Qin Muye continued to explain. “You know I hate science subjects. It’s good that I didn’t have to study physics and chemistry after tenth grade, but math is still compulsory, and it’s so freaking hard! Luckily that stupid subject didn’t drag my score down.”

Qin Muye then crossed her arms and pouted, “There’s no way I’m doing math again here! In the end, I decided to do law because I can help out the family business in the future. I could become the company’s counsel or something in the future.”

Since Qin Muye had compulsory military training like every other university freshman, Tan Mo and Ming Yeqing decided to return to their dorms early so that they could spend time with her.

Qin Mufeng followed in Wei Zhiqian’s footsteps by asking his butler to send a whole food truck for Qin Muye when she did her military training.

Most of the time, when Qin Muye rested, she did it under an umbrella with a cold drink.

At the very least, she wouldn’t die from heat during the training.

Time flew by, and on a certain day, Professor Yue had just bought his food in Beijing University’s canteen and spotted Professors Guo and Zhao as he was looking for a seat. His colleagues seemed like they were having a happy conversation.

Professor Yue couldn’t help but notice how close the two professors had gotten after Tan Mo had joined their research teams.

He didn’t even have to hear the conversation to know that they were talking about the stuff that Tan Mo had achieved in their research teams.

With Tan Mo as their conversation topic, the two professors had become friends in no time.

Professor Yue thought about it and decided to approach them.

“Professor Guo, Professor Zhao, is this seat taken?” Professor Yue asked with a smile.

“Oh, no. Please, have a seat,” Professor Guo replied. “Yue, it’s rare to see you here.”

Professor Yue frowned immediately as the way he was addressed sounded like he was younger than them, which he actually was.

“Professors,” Professor Yue said after taking a bite, “did your research end last semester?”

The professors instantly knew what Professor Yue was going to talk to them about. They quickly thought of the time when Tan Mo had solved the question that Professor Yue had assigned for his students.

“Yes, it ended, but I’m getting a new topic this semester,” Professor Guo replied.

“Me too.” Professor Zhao nodded. “We mostly focus on a single topic every semester.”

“I’m working with the same team this semester as well,” Professor Guo followed up.
