Chapter 184: The Young Doctor Of Chinese Medicine

Translator: Yunyi  Editor: Yunyi

Yu Gangan didn’t know why, but as far as she could remember, she always hated snow; snow always made her feel bad.

She often had a dream. In the dream, she would always see a scene of snow and ice.

Amidst the snow, there was a 13-14 year old teen. His face wasn’t clear, but in the fuzziness, she could see a lot of red. The amount of blood compared to the amount of snow was extremely shocking.

In the dream, he rushed towards her and cried, “Run, run…”

Perhaps, this was the reason why she hated snow.

Baiyang City’s Traditional Chinese Medicine Association and Beijing’s Traditional Chinese Medicine Association jointly organized the seminars. The first purpose was to encourage communication and the other was for learning. The event was to run for one month and the location was at the West Gate of Beijing.

Yu Gangan was surprised to find that Lin Jiayu’s apartment was really close to the seminars. It was only 10 minutes drive away.

But, she still decided to stay in the dorms and not have special treatment, even though she knew that her presence at the seminars was already special treatment to begin with.

By the time that Yu Gangan arrived, a lot of people had already gathered in the main hall.

She inconspicuously scanned her eyes across the guests. A lot of the people were professional doctors of Chinese medicine from Beijing; doctors that held a lot of weight in the Chinese medicine field.

The Chinese medicine association often held seminars where they invited the most famous doctors of Chinese medicine. If they had free time, these doctors would attend, but even if they didn’t they would still send their most impressive students.

Doctors of Chinese medicine loved preaching.

When it came to difficult diseases, if they didn’t discuss it in detail and simply settled with one treatment plan, it would be hard to cure a stubborn disease.

When Yu Gangan entered, a lot of people glanced at her subconsciously. But, they did not place much focus on her as they returned to their conversations.

The receptionist even thought that she was there to look for someone. “Who are you looking for?” she asked.

Yu Gangan handed her invite over and said, “Hello, I’m here to report for the seminars!”

The receptionist was shocked as she looked at Yu Gangan.

The people that heard their conversation were also shocked. As one looked at another, everyone was filled with disbelief.

Was this a doctor that was studying with them? Wasn’t she too young? The young woman looked like she hadn’t even graduated from university.

The receptionist snapped out of her daze and realized she had acted out of line, so she said, “Everyone is arriving at roughly the same time so there may be a bit of a queue.”

Yu Gangan nodded her head with a smile.

She then looked at the professionals beside her and smiled at them as well.

Someone asked her, “Which school are you from?”

Due to history, geography and humanitarian beliefs, Chinese medicine was split into 7 different schools. But, Yu Gangan did not belong to any of them.

Yu Gangan turned around and saw a woman in a Chanel suit. She looked smart and capable, and she wore an emerald jade bracelet on her wrist, making her look rich. From the looks of it, she was roughly 30 years old.

It seemed, she was a senior that Yu Gangan was studying with.

Yu Gangan smiled and replied, “My grandfather was an old doctor of Chinese medicine. I’ve been learning Chinese medicine from my grandfather from a young age and I studied Western medicine in university.”

As she spoke, she bowed at her seniors politely, “My name is Yu Gangan. I hope you can all guide me.”

After listening to Yu Gangan, the woman in the Chanel suit suddenly had an expression of arrogance.

Others looked at her with ridicule, assuming she was there in search of her next fortune. At her age, what true talent could she have? She must have been invited because she had a strong backing.

The woman in the Chanel suit hated people that relied on connections the most.

She stared at Yu Gangan and scoffed out loud, “Ha…”
